• distraction-free writing
Scrittore is an app for writing and nothing else. It's just you and your words. The interface is minimal and present only when needed, allowing you to focus more intently on your writing.

• simplified keyboard
Why use an antiquated keyboard layout that was designed around the limitations of mechanical typewriters? Scrittore's simplified keyboard is designed exclusively for touch and optimized for the linguistic patterns of the italian language. Unlike the archaic qwerty layout which was actually designed to slow you down, the new keyboard layout is efficient and ergonomic. Give it one week. And your typing will not only be faster, but more comfortable and natural.

• standard keyboard options
Standard keyboards are also available if you prefer. Simply set your preference in system Settings to switch to qwerty or qzerty keyboard layouts, or you can use the standard iOS keyboard.

• ephemeral text layout
It's easy to get lost in a sea of text. And the typical blinking caret is either too obscure or too obtrusive. Scrittore helps you stay focused with visual effects that are subtle yet powerful: As you type, surrounding text simply fades away, leaving the current word as the center of interest. The experience preserves your train of thought and keeps you on target.

• gesture-based text editing
Touch to select. Pinch to zoom. Swipe to navigate. Gestures are elegant alternatives to annoying buttons and pop-up menus. Scrittore makes extensive use of gestures for many text editing operations. Once learned, these gestures are never forgotten and quickly become second nature.

• gesture-based keyboard
Scrittore introduces a new gesture: keyswipe (i.e. press a key and slightly move your finger). Keyswipe can be used to modify a key's input. It's how you capitalize letters (e.g. keyswipe upward) and insert alternative punctuations (e.g. keyswipe upward on a period for an exclamation point). With a little practice, you'll never want to use the shift key again.

• personal typography
Typography is personal. Scrittore respects that. Choose your favorite font and color scheme and the entire interface will conform to your style. You can write in whatever mood you're in.
