Giovanna was born 38 years ago in the lovely Calabria region, Italy, into a family of cooks. Over there, cooking has always been considered an authentic art.
Giovanna dedicated herself to art since her adolescence, at first becoming a painter and sculptor of fine art reproductions. Soon after, a strong calling towards cuisine turned her into the passionate cook and confectioner she is today.
She creates sculptured cakes and readily transforms chocolate into delicious pralines.
She lives and works in Bologna, Italy, working for several restaurants, teaching and writing books on cookery and confectionery.
